HealthZone Medical is a vibrant North Shore Family GP Doctor Medical Practice set inside the main building of AUT Millennium. For more than 20 years, our team of family GPs and sports doctors have provided individualized care to families and whanau.
Having first started with emphasis on sports, teams and athletes, we are now a family-focused medical practice, serving the community and also many of the visitors coming to AUT Millennium Centre. We also offer skin checks, skin cancer excision and minor surgery, the latest osteoarthritis/joint injection services (Durolane, Cingal, hyaluronic acid, cortisone) and IV infusions for anaemia and osteoporosis (Ferinject and Aclasta).
We welcome new patients and families – no referral is necessary.
We also support new families and migrants to New Zealand with extra care. We also support any family visitors during their stay here, being their temporary and affordable GP far from home – ask about our special rates.
We also place a high value on knowing our patients as individuals – so consultations are by appointment only. Our standard consultation time is 15 minutes.
Keeping patients healthy is the bottom line at HealthZone Medical, through regular health screening (such as diabetic testing, asthma screening, well person checks for insurance medicals, along with medical and surgical procedures.
APPOINTMENTS IN-PERSON STILL NEED TO BE CHECKED FOR SYMTOMS BEFORE ARRIVAL
With lots of Covid, RSV, Flu, sinusitis and bronchitis around, we still assess all in-person bookings and visitors for the safety of vulnerable patients and staff. Marks are not mandatory unless you have any respiratory symptoms but are welcomed to keep yourselves and other patients safe in the waiting areas. Please check with a SAME-DAY home RAT test if you have any symptoms BEFORE entering the clinic.
If acutely unwell please contact Reception for a rapid initial telephonic assessment by Nurse or GP first. The GP/Nurse can arrange an in-clinic follow-up visit at no extra cost in our isolation rooms.
